Regarding gender equality in urban talk and gossip - what is the deal with the recent boom of M.I.L.F. expressions, and why aren't we hearing as much about attractive fathers? Aren't there any out there? Pot bellies, minivans, and baseball knee-high socks on those daddies gotcha down, girls?

On a sidenote, it's interesting how "M.I.L.F." sounds nurturing and motherly, like "milk," whereas "F.I.L.F." sounds dirty and repugnant, like "filth."

Why do small birds chase big ones? I don't mean in a protective way either, like bluejays fiercely defending their young. Earlier I watched as a couple of small, nondescript black birds were flying around behind a hawk that was circling and meandering around up in the air. I find this kind of bizarre.

I've been married a little over 8 months now, and due to some crazy circumstances I haven't changed my name yet. Part of me wants to keep Laura Corinne Skowronski because I'm finally so used to it. When I was a kid, I always looked forward to getting married so I could shed the often-ridiculed monstrosity, but in recent years I've been more attuned to my Polish roots. Some friends think I should merely append Nattam to the already lengthy name, joking that if I am credited on screen (or anywhere, really) that my name would take up all the available space.

My husband likes the idea for the resulting initials, LCSN, noting that they sound much like some kind of news program. Will Carl Fredricksen fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America? Live video feeds and an update from the 78-year-old balloonist, next, on LCSN...

So, if you didn't get it by now, I created this site because I'm too lazy for Google. I have questions... some might argue I do ask the right questions... I just don't often bother looking up the answer unless I get inspired to be all smart-like.

Questions will possibly be numbered, if I remember to do that, and meanwhile, I'll try to categorize them by topic, because even if I'm not terribly hungry for knowledge, I like to organize the little knowledge that I do have.

How did "Google" get its name?
