If I buy a bar of soap, and it claims to be made with all-natural ingredients like oatmeal, raw honey, and wheatgerm oil, why would it still taste like soap?

Ingredients: Distilled Water, Saponified Oils (Coconut, Palm, Soybean, Sunflower, & Wheatgerm), Raw Honey, Oatmeal, Vitamin E & Essential Oil Blend (Nutmeg & Tangerine). It's a wonderfully-smelling cleansing bar that happens to taste like salty soap. Admittedly though, it wasn't a "full" lick; I sort of chickened out after a second thought.

why expect it to taste like the subset of ingredients you like rather than the collection of oils that compose most of it?
